PS Radhakrishnan is an author and film critic. He finished his MA and Ph.D. in Malayalam from the School of Letters Mahatma Gandhi University. He joined Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit (SSUS) as a Lecturer of Malayalam in 1995. In 1998, his job was made permanent. In January 2010, he became a Reader in Malayalam at the same University.
He was assigned as a Professor in May 2013, and then DEAN, Faculty of Language and Literature, Mahatma Gandhi University from 2016 - 2018. He had 25 years of experience. He received National Award (Swarna Kamal) for Best Writing on Cinema (2012) and State Award in 2009, 2010, and 2011. In 2012 he was honored with Thayat Award for Literary Criticism.
