Kim Go-eun is a South Korean actress born on 2nd July 1991 in Seoul, South Korea. In 1994, her family moved to Beijing, China. As she lived there for 10 years, she is fluent in Mandarin. Later, she returned to South Korea and joined Kaywon High School of the Arts. She also went to Korea National University of Arts to study drama. In 2012, she appeared in a short film, Yeong-a. The same year, she got the opportunity to showcase her skill on the silver screen with the film A Muse. In 2014, she worked in the film Monster in the role of Bok-soon. The film was directed by Hwang In-ho. In 2015, Kim was seen in 3 films. In 2016, she shared the screen space with Youn Yuh-jung in the movie Canola. She had also made cameo appearances in Hit and Run Squad and Dog Days.
In 2019, she was appointed as Korea's Ministry of Environment's Resource Circulation’s honorary ambassador. During the wildfire in 2019, she donated ₩20 million. In 2022, she donated ₩50 million to the victims of Uljin wildfire. She also donated ₩100 million during covid-19 pandemic. The same year, she donated ₩100 million to Seoul National University Children's Hospital.
In 2024, Kim starred with Choi Min-sik in a supernatural horror thriller film, Exhuma. She was also seen in the film Love In The Big City as Jae-hee.
