Satyanshu Singh is a splendid National Award-winning filmmaker, screenwriter, poet, and teacher. His versatility and creativity have taken him this way far successfully. Apart from writing, he is involved in some praiseworthy activities. He is best known for 'Tamaash,' a short film written, edited, produced, and directed by him and his brother Devanshu. This movie gained colossal recognition all around the world. Satyanshu Singh comes from an exclusive family with a rich artistic background. He was born and raised in a small town named Munger, Bihar, India. Since childhood, he has had a very impeccable and distinguished taste in music, literature, performing arts, and movies. Later, after completing high school, he went to Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, to pursue his graduate classes in the field of Medicine. After completing his education, he decided against carrying his career in medicine and shifted to Bombay to set upon his career as a filmmaker. Before leaving his medical school, he shot a short film of around 85 minutes casting his schoolmates, and on the other hand, the crew was medical students.

Afterward, he commenced working with his brother Devanshu who was employed as an Assitant Director. Satyanshu began working his fingers to the bone as writing was his only last hope and his friends also upheld him in his every critical stage. Thenceforward, he is residing as well as working in Mumbai as a writer. ' (2010), then he worked as a lyricist for 'Sulemani Keeda' and 'Ferrari Ki Sawaari(2011).' He made his directional debut from a Kashmiri short film 'Tamaash,' which attained vast popularity among the viewers around the world and also won numerous awards at different film festivals such as in Osaka, Florence, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Venezuela, Stuttgart, Kerala, Bangalore and also a National Film Award in May 2014. His work was highly appreciated then and is still gaining recognition.

His first featured movie was "Chintu ka Birthday," which received a massive positive response from the audience. Besides writing, Satyanshu organizes screenwriting and directing workshops, consisting of Avid Learning Workshops conducted by the Essar Group. Additionally, since 2011 he has taken classes of `Understanding Cinema` for students of Bachelors in Mass Media at colleges affiliated to Mumbai University.
