Amitva Dasgupta is a video editor from West Bengal, India. He is known for movies like Lalla (2014), Jhumura (2016), and The Flight (2020). Amitva Dasgupta worked for Netguru India Pvt Ltd as a video editor till 2011 and left to become an independent video editor. He graduated from the University of Calcutta in 1995 with a degree in Chemistry. In 2007, he edited Ami, Yasin Ar Amar Madhubala and later went on to edit movies and shorts such as Janala (2009), Char Diker Galpo (2014), Jhumura (2016), The Bait (2016), and Drama Queens (2019). He was awarded the Best Editor by IFBA, International Film and Banga Academy in 2012 for Janala and also the Best Editor at Meliorist Film Festival for the short film Ghoraswar.
