She grew up in a Marathi household in Mumbai, Maharashtra, along with her two elder sisters. As her father is from a theatre background, Trupti Toradmal got the taste of acting from a very early age.

She began acting in plays and developed a keen interest in acting. After she completed school studies, Trupti Toradmal aspired to become an architect. Unfortunately, she couldn’t get the opportunity to do architecture, so did her graduation in literature from Mithibai College in Mumbai. Trupti Toradmal made her debut in the entertainment industry as a child artist. In 1995, she appeared in the show The Waiter in Slow Motion, making her debut. She acted in the lead role of Anjali in the Sahara One in 2000. She performed opposite actor R. Madhavan in the series, where they both won a contest and go on a world tour. It shows how Rahul, played by Madhavan, falls for her and how Anjali admits her love for him.

In the 2001 Star Plus series, Kalash, Trupti Toradmal took up the role of Bulbul, one of the sisters. The show ran for about two years. Following Savita Damodar Paranjpe, Trupti Toradmal played a prominent role in the 2019 Marathi language historical film Fatteshikast.
