Shubhaavi Choksey

Shubhaavi Choksey is an actress and model who works in the Indian TV industry. Born on 12th February 1982 in Mangalore, Karnataka, she was brought up in Mumbai when she moved to Mumbai with her family at a very young age. During her school days, Shubhaavi showed extreme interest in the field of performance arts and she used to take classical dance classes. She won many competitions for dancing and participated in many dance shows.

She completed her graduation from Mitibai College, and during her college days she started to look for modeling and acting work. After a lot of auditions, she was finally cast as Meera Singhania in the highly successful TV serial ‘Kyo Ki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’. That is where her journey started, she was next seen in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki and she also continued her modeling work as well on the side, she would numerous ramp walk shows, print shoots for various brands and magazines and photo-shoots.

She also made numerous appearances on the super hit Sony TV show CID where she appeared as a recurring character in different story lines. In 2011, she started working on another super-hit show ‘Bade Acche Lagte Hain’ on Sony TV where she would appear as the character of Juhi. In 2018, she made her debut in Bollywood with Dhadak, a story about honour killings in Rajasthan.

The movie was not well received by either critics or audiences. Currently she can be seen on the remake of Kasautii Zindagi Kay on Sony TV and also on Medically Yours, a web-series streaming on Alt Balaji which is about the lives of medical students pursuing MBBS and all the fun that goes on in college. In 2007, she married her long time boyfriend Harshal Choksey who is not in the acting profession.
