This was her first serial as a main lead. Earlier, she had played small but important roles in daily soaps like `Bhabhi` (a typical Indian family drama) and 'Antariskh'. The charming and glamorous Priyamvada hails from Maharashtra and she was named after a famous character from “Shakuntla”, a Sanskrit drama of the great poet Kalidas. She started her career as a fashion model and did many modeling assignments for various brands. Through her sterling performances, she has defied this age-old notion that models can’t act and to make this happen, she had to work very hard.
