Namrata Thapa is an Indian film and Television Actress who appeared as the wife of Kinshuk’s elder brother in the Hindi serial, “Tum Aise Hi Rehna” on Sony TV in 2014. This is her comeback to the small screen after some time of hiatus. In 2013, she was seen in the drama series, Badalte Rishton Ki Dastaan on Zee TV where she appeared as Pallavi. She also did a cameo role in the popular soap, Gustakh Dil on Life OK. These two serials were both directed by Rakesh Kumar. Prior to this, she was also seen in television series like Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat and Mahima Shani Dev Ki. Namrata also played as Lata Raj Singhania in the Rajshri Productions’ Yahaaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli where she gained more fame and popularity. She also acted as Chandana Pratap Singh in another Rajshri Productions’ serial, Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Aangan Hoga. In 2006, Namrata acted in the Hindi serial, Vaidehi – Ek Aur Agni Pareeksha on Sony TV and played the role of Maithili. She also did an episodic in the crime detective series C.I.D. on Sony TV. She also essayed the role of Radha on DD National’s Stree… Teri Kahani. Namrata is fluent in Oriya language so she was casted in many Oriya language films like “I Love You” where she played as Mita in 2005 under the direction of Hara Patnaik. This film made her popular in the Ollywood industry. She was later seen in Priya Mo Priya, where she played the character of Priya in 2005. In 2006, Namrata was also seen in the Oriya language films, I Love My India and Prema Rutu Aslilare. In 2007, she did films like Rasika Nagar and Mu Tate Love Karuchi. In 2011, she played as Sandhya in Ashok Pati’s 143 I Love You. Besides doing Oriya films, she also did Bengali films entitled, Golmaal in the year 2008, where she essayed the role of Sangeeta and Ghar Jamai where she played as Tina. She also did a guest appearance in the 2009 action film, Abhimanyu. In 2010, she bagged the role of Roshni in the Bollywood film, Knock Out which is directed by Mani Shankar. Namrata Thapa got married on February 14, 2014 to actor, Saumik Rao. The two met while shooting for Mahima Shani Dev Ki and they played as a couple. She finished her studies in Delhi University. She was once a model and did many fashion shows. Another version of this story... Namrata Thapa is a well-known face of Indian Daily soaps. However she is also a prominent actress of Ollywood, (Oriya Film Industry). For almost 10 years she has worked in that industry. Apart from that she was also featured in few Bhojpuri and Bengali movies. She completed her graduation from Delhi University and after that she was hugely appreciated for her role in ‘Yahaaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli.’ With her charming face and mesmerizing smile he has gained huge patronage from the Indian audiences and started being featured in popular Hindi serials. In ‘Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat’, ‘CID’, ‘Vaidhehi’, and ‘Nagin’ she has delivered her best. All of her shows were more or less successful. After Odia movie ‘143 I love You’ she shifted to Mumbai for accomplishing few assignments. This movie emerged to be a hit and she is still known in Odisha by “I Love You girl”. She loves to perform in movies rather than TV serials, as according to her, TV serials are less dimensional but movies give her the chance to play versatile roles that helps to grow her acting skill. She also acted in movies like ‘Prema Rutu Aslilare’, ‘Mu Tate Love Karuchi’ and ‘Prema Rutu’. She is also a good dancer and was featured in a dance sequence in movie ‘Ganja Ladhei’. She was also featured in movies ‘Knock out’, ‘Sindura’, ‘Rasika Nagar’, ‘Mita Re Mita’, ‘Golmaal’, ‘Ghar Jamai’, ‘Priya Mo Priya’, ‘Mu Tate Love Karuchi’, and ‘I love My India’.

Nandita Thacker worked in probably one of the most popular Indian television shows of all time. It went by the name of Kasautii Zindagii Kay. Going by statistics, it is the third most popular show that was ever aired on Indian tv. It is mainly a romantic drama series which revolves around the life of three people namely Anuraag Basu, Prena and Rishabh Bajaj. As the title suggests, it deals with the hurdles and ups and downs of life.
