Mamata Gurnani is an Indian television actress. She began her television career from the serial “Lapataganj” in 2009. Aired on SAB TV, this show was immensely popular among the masses. Mamata played the role of Bindumati Vajpayee or better known as Bindu. She is the wife of Lallan Vajpayee- the male protagonist of the show. She generally uses names of towns in her sentences to draw comparison. The show is based on a fictitious small town called Lapataganj (the lost town). The story is drawn from the works of

Chidiya Ghar is the name of the house named after her who is the late wife of retired principal named Kesari Narayan. The show is about Kesari and his two sons namely Ghotak and Gomukh. It is an antique family who puts themselves in some problem or the other.
