, is an Indian television actress. She was born on December 20, 1992, in Mumbai, India. Her mother,
Falguni Desai
is a Gujarati actress, so acting is really in her genes. After finishing her 10th standard at R.N. Shah High School in Mumbai, she started her television career and was introduced as Sarla Ambar Raghuvanshi in Shashi Sumeet Mittal Productions’ drama serial, Sajan Ghar Jaana Hai, which was aired on STAR Plus in 2009.Â
After 10-months of running, the show ended in 2010. Zalak took a 5-year hiatus so she can finish her 12th. She completed B.Sc Biotechnology at the Mithibai College in Mumbai. Prior to her sabbatical, the Shashi Sumeet Production house asked her to inform them when she’s ready to return. She made a comeback in the television serial,
Dil Deke Dekho
in 2014. The serial is a youth-centric show, which was aired on Sony Entertainment Television channel. This year, she acted as Anmol Nikhil Tiwari opposite

The serial was produced again by Shashi Sumeet but after almost four months of running, it went off the air due to low TRP. Currently, she is playing the role of Pinky in the comedy series, Hum aapke Ghar Mein Rehte Hain on SAB TV. She replaces

in playing the second lead role in her third show with Shashi Sumeet. Rose was said to have particular issues about the character she was playing, which kept changing regularly, and so she has decided to opt out the show. Zalak used to take part in school dramatics, but she never really had any formal training in acting.Â
Hence, her passion in the industry has pushed her to pursue her dream of becoming an actress. Besides acting, she wanted to become an Engineer, and so she decided to plan her life and finished her graduation first. She believes that she can do working at any age, while studying should be done at an early age. The young actress has been involved in several social activities. Recently, she assisted a fractured student of Sardar Patel College of Engineering in finishing his exams. In 2010, she bagged the Favorite Devrani Award at the Star Parivaar Awards. Recently, she made her very first commercial ad for Himalaya’s Purifying Neem Face Wash.
