Shravan Mehta of ‘Student of the Year Fame’ has turned out to be an overnight sensation with his smart, peppy roles and stellar acting skills. Before being casted for this flick, Shravan worked as a professional dancer. He was even a part of Shaimak Davar’s dance crew. While pursuing his career as a dancer, Shravan realized his love for acting and auditioned for a few ‘smart’ and unconventional roles. It was at this point of time, when he was casted for popular teenage shows like ‘Gumraah’ on Channel V. ‘Gumraah’ is a TV-series which deals with youngsters and how they indulge in crime. He played a meaty role in one of the episodes of ‘’. Apart from that, he also featured in an advertisement alongside and got a wild card entry in the popular Dance Reality Show, ‘Zara Nachke Dikha’.

While trying out these small roles, he auditioned for Dharma Production’s ‘Student of the Year’ and got the first major break in his career. In this movie he played a part in the ‘rich gang’. Right after that, he had been selected for the popular hindi-teen drama show, ‘Best Friends Forever’. ‘Best Friends Forever’ was a serial depicting the friendship of three best friends whose lives changed after the revelation of a deadly secret. The show turned out to be a good success and his role of an aspiring film maker was praised and loved by the audience.
