Prateek Sambekar is an Indian TV actor who majorly works for Marathi and Hindi Entertainment industry. He is from Mumbai, Maharashtra and gained so much popularity among Hindi speaking audience by playing the role of Umakant Kulkarni in Colors TV’s Thoda Hai Thode Ki Zaroorat Hai. The show narrated the story of a middle class family living in Shivaji Park, Mumbai. As the city was surrounded by high class people so the Kulkarnis aspire to become one of them. The show gained moderate TRPs for channel and went of air.
He did successful work as theatre artist and worked in many Marathi and Hindi plays. He did some Marathi films and TV shows which bagged him good recognition among many production houses. Also, he was selected for print shoots in Hindustan Times,
Mumbai Mirror
and Mayapuri Magazine and did some remarkable jobs for them.
He completed his education from Mumbai itself and regarded as one of the best students in his college. He participated in Anna Hazare Andolan actively and fought for many of his campaigns including Jan lokpal bill, RTI, campaign against liquor from food grains etc. Â
Currently he is not engaged with any on floor assignments but doing many regional languages assignments including Lata Navarekar’s theatre plays with Ekjute Team.
