A famous Model as well as Hindi TV serial Actor, Amit Dhawan has done few small roles in movies like Durai, Modhivillyadu, Vaada, Chattam, he has also advertised products and brands like TVC, Thumps Up, Chevrolet, Maruti Alto, Jeevanparash, Vodafone, Indica Hair Color, Lauret Bath Tub, Knockout Beer, Sharon Ply.

There were some recent issues with his serial Amrit Manthan, which was being telecasted in Life OK.

Even though it was accepted by viewers and had many fans following he had to quit because he had to play a role of a father and the serial was not picking up as he had expected it to be, he had worked for 3 months and then he had to terminate the contract as he was not satisfied with the role and it was not working like the way it was guaranteed before entering into contract. Later on, he confirmed that he is not able to do justice to his character, so he had to step down.

Right now he is looking forward for good opportunities to explore his career.
