Amar Sharma is a well-known Indian model and television actor. He was born on September 13, 1980. He graduated MBA with expertise in Marketing; however, he took up acting as a profession. Amar came from a middle class family and at first he wanted to become a singer. Instead, he goes into theater until he was offered to do show, Balika Vadhu. He got his fame for his negative role as Madan Singh in the famous serial, Balika Vadhu on Colors TV. He also did a cameo role in the weekly crime series, Hum Ne Li Hai… Shapath on Life OK in 2012. He played as the father of the girl who was missing and returned to them by the police after nine long years. In 2013, he was also part of the Indian television drama series, Aaj Ki Housewife Hai… Sab Jaanti Hai as Deva on Zee TV along with the lead stars and . He was also seen in the horror fiction show, Haunted Nights on Sahara One under the direction of , where he acted the positive role of Sudhakar, an investigative officer.

After doing the Balika Vadhu and Haunted Nights, Amar was asked about his reactions on doing the positive and negative characters. He said, he’s been receiving different reviews and comments on his role as Madan, and he also said that he is quite a liberal type of person. Recently, Amar played as Amarchand, the husband of Bhanwari in the upcoming Hindi comedy film, Bhanwari Ka Jaal, produced by and under the direction of . Amar received Aita Award and more Rajasthan awards because of his good acting skills.
