MTV’s Splitsvilla has been one of the most renowned Indian Reality Television shows. It has attracted the youth of the country and has them hooked to it; Abhishek Yennam was one of the contestant for the show. Abhishek is a model, an entertainer, and a fitness aficionado. He was a contestant of Splitsvilla’s 8th season. He auditioned for the MTV show and managed to be one of the eight regular boys on that season. His father, Murali Yennam, is also a fitness freak and has been an inspiration for Abhishek to work on his body. He is a typical Daddy’s boy. His mother is Ashwini Yennam and he has a brother Ishaan Yennam.
A 22-year-old sensation, this handsome hunk was born on September 26, 1994, in the town of Pune, near Mumbai. Abhishek went to Sanjeewan Vidyalaya in Panchgani and has a graduate degree in International Business from the Maharashtra Institute of Technology’s School of Management, Pune. Abhishek had spent much of his time switching between TV channels and wondering what to do with his life; he then felt immensely inspired by
and decided to start carving out muscles in his body instead of the fat. Abhishek made a few appearances in commercial TV advertisements before finally getting his break in Splitsvilla 8.
The show was his debut into the world of glitz and glamor. He faced elimination from the show after Splitsvilla Queen Subuhi Joshi dumped him. He calls his experience at Splitsvilla 8 to be a cocktail of politics, love, and betrayal. He enjoyed his initial days on the show when all the contestants were friendly with each other, but eventually as time passed, he felt that the pretense began to slip away. Abhishek realized that he was not the type of person who could manipulate human relationships and this was when he began to falter. He is thankful to Splitsvilla for giving him the fame.
He is five feet ten inches tall and weighs around 60 kilograms; he never skips the gym and stays honest to his diet program. Abhishek enjoys traveling and never misses his gym workout sessions. He is obsessed with fitness and refrains from smoking and drinking. He is called Abhi with love and has been nicknamed as Pune’s “Dwayne The Rock Johnson”. He returned to Pune after his stint on TV, currently resides there and works as a freelancer, model, and actor. Despite all that, he wishes to establish himself in a more practical and secure for his future. He feels disillusioned by politics.
