Known for playing a wide variety of characters, both on the big and small screen, Sadiya Siddiqui has been in the industry for a long time now. She made her acting debut by playing a child bride in' Humrahi'i on Doordarshan. She is currently seen as Mala on the series on Colors. She has always been involved in the performing arts, starting from theatre and leading into films. She loves her theatre work as it compensate for the fantasies that she portrays on the telly screen. She says that it helps her keep in touch with reality.

She loves playing challenging roles, which the audience can relate to, and tries to do her very best as much as she can. However she has not always been the everyday heroine, and has had her share of fun through fun roles in movies such as “” and “”. She believes in resting as much as she believes in hard work, and terms music and great food as her stress busters. Her favourite song is “Dash E Tanhai Main” by . She is also a wildlife photographer,and loves analysing and studying animal body language.

She has a postgraduate degree in psychology, which she says has helped her a lot with acting as it helps her appreciate the depth of different roles. Sadiya Siddiqui is also an adrenaline junkie and loves Scuba diving. Her current record stands at two hundred. Her most recent attempt was in a shark cage. She has also attempted sky diving and is planning her next adventure with mountain climbing. She is an animal lover, and once housed close to 25 cats, much to her mother’s chagrin. In her free time she loves experimenting with new recipes, watches movies and reads a lot of books.
