During her graduation in DU, she secured 10th rank in the CATE exam, and she also did an internship with United Nations which is a matter of pride for her. She was a very intellectual and bright student. She was a normal girl from a simple Indian family, and she got famous only after her marriage with Shahid Kapoor.
