Syed Modi is an Indian Badminton player. He was born on 31 December 1962 in Gorakhpur, Utter Pradesh in India. His father worked in a sugar mill and his mother was a housewife. At the age of 14, he became Junior National Badminton Champion. At the age of 18, he won the National Badminton Championship. He won the National Badminton Championship eight times. He won a men’s single victory at the International Badminton Circuit in the Commonwealth Games in 1982.
He also got a job as a Welfare Officer in the Indian Railways in the sports department. He has won three international championships, including the Austrian International and the USSR International. He won the Arjuna Award in 1981 from the government of India. In the Asian Games in 1982, he won the Bronze medal in men’s singles event. In 1983 and 1984, he won the Australian International.
