Satyananda Das Baul is a renowned singer and musician in India. He hails from West Bengal. He is a composer and a dancer too. He has a strong knowledge of various instruments which he plays while performing. He is also a sadhaka. A sadhaka is one who is adapted and connected to spirituality. Satyananda Das Baul mostly performs poetry music. Most of his music is related to devotion and spirituality which gives the listeners a soulful experience. He has performed for many renowned writers of his age. He has given his soulful voice for the lines of the famous lyricist Bhaba Pagla.

All his listeners worldwide know him by The Singing Voice of Soul. Satyananda Das learned under many gurus. He learned about spirituality and divine under his guru Shri Krishnananda Goswami from West Bengal. His dikshya guru was Shri Bhagaban Das. He was also from West Bengal. He learned singing and playing different instruments under various music gurus. Primarily, his sur shiksha took place under Shri Bhuban Mohan Das. He was from East Bengal.

Ektara (One String) is his primary instrument which he is generally seen playing in the stage shows. He plays various other instruments like Duggie (small drum), Ghungur (foot bells), Khonjori, Dotara, shri Khol, and other classical instruments. Satyananda is generally seen with Hori, who is his accompanist. He plays mondira cymbals. Satyananda and Hori travel together and perform stage shows worldwide. In 2005, both were given Chaitanya Mantra. A centenarian mentor, Shri Haripada Goswami gave them the Chaitanya Mantra.
