Priyanka Meher

Priyanka Meher is an emerging best Garhwali singer. She was born on 17 October 1996 in Dehradun. Ichholi is the name of her village, located in the Tehri district of Uttarakhand. Her parents had settled in Dehradun a long time ago from there. Priyanka is the youngest one in her family. In her family, everyone is musical except her father. Her elder brother Deepak is also a professional singer. Priyanka, with the help of her mother, remixed old songs that the world kept watching. She always participated in her school's singing programs. Her initial education was from Shri Guru Ram Rai (SGRR) RRacecoursewhich is located in Dehradun.

She was inspired by her brother and started learning classical music from 11th standard. She recorded some English, and Hindi songs with some studios and uploaded them on YouTube. The initial stage of her music is not so good at the response. Though she did not lose hope and after doing 12th, she uploaded Garhwali songs on YouTube just for fun. Though it was fun, people liked it very much and the song went viral overnight. After that, she wrote lyrics for Garhwali songs with the help of her mother and started to upload them on YouTube.

Then she began to sing some old forgotten Garhwali, Kumauni, Jaunsari, and Himachali songs mixed with modern music in Laya Dhun Taal and Lyrics that were very much liked by the people and showed their love for her music. Her Hindi song with Badshah, a famous rapper, was well-received by the people. She also wants to do Bollywood songs and wants to promote Garhwali music and songs at the international level. Nowadays, she is not only listened to by the people of Uttarakhand but also listened to and loved by people all over India.
