Meena Kapoor was an Indian Playback Singer; her work has been released in Hindi Language Movies. Meena was born in 1930 in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Her singing skills were noticed by Composers like Ninu Mazumdar and SD Burman at a very young age. Meena started her career in this field in 1947 and worked in the Music Department of "Shehnai.” She also worked in the Music Department of several movies such as "Anokha Pyar" (1948), "The Honor of the House" (1949), "Aadhi Raat" (1950), and "Return of Mr. Superman" (1960).
Meena contributed a lot to the Indian music industry during the 1940s & 1950s. She sang various famous songs like "Kachchi Hai Umariya" (1946), "Chandi Ka Badan" (1941), "Kuchh Aur Zamana Kehta Hai" (1969) and "Rasiya Re Man Basiya Re" (1941) etc. Meena Kapoor died on 23 November 2017 at her home in Kolkata, West Bengal, India.
