Amjad Farid Sabri lived from 23rd December 1970 to 22nd June 2016. He was a famous Pakistani Qawwali singer and the son of renowned Qawwal Ghulam Farid Sabri. One of the leading Sufi artist, as well as the lead singer of the band “The Sabri Brothers”.

In 1988 he became a part of the band ‘The Sabri Brothers’ which was started by his father. The Sabri Brothers have performed a number of qawwalis for Coke Studio, Pakistan, and India. He also performed at the Nizamuddin Dargah in Delhi. Among Sufi music enthusiasts, Sabri is known as one of the foremost qawwals of Pakistan.

All through the four decades that he dedicated to music, since he first held his instrument at the age of nine, till 22nd of June he lived Sufism and even promoted it to millions of people. His last words were, "When I shudder in my dark tomb, dear Prophet, look after me".
