Mr Raja Das is a highly talented and versatile personality known for his incredible work as a scriptwriter and director in the Indian entertainment industry. Raja’s education qualification is an MA in English Literature and a BA (Honours) in English Literature. He has also earned a Diploma in Cinematography from the Asian Academy of Film & Television (AAFT) in Noida, New Delhi. Furthermore, he was also awarded a scholarship from Southern Illinois University, USA, for their Terminal Level Cinema Program. Raja is a Consultant at the Academic Curriculum of Autograph Institute of Movie and Media, an enterprise of MIES Group since its beginning in 2012.
Raja also worked as a Guest Professor of Film & Television Production at IMCFTS, University of Kalyani, for four years. Where he taught PG Diploma in Mass Comm and Journalism, MA in Mass Comm & Community Journalism, his work as a professor has gained him a massive amount of respect from his students. He is an incredible man who possesses a vibrant and lovely personality and he is deeply engraved into the talent of filmmaking and education. His loyalty and passion for his work have surpassed the most influential teachings. His influence in the classroom is unquestionable, uplifting the institution’s reputation through his persistent dedication to intelligence and education.
Raja is also known for his work as a Screenplay Writer and Creative Producer of the film “Pather Sandhan” (The Quest); this film was based on the classical story of Bibhutibhusan Bandyopadhyay. The film was sent to major international film festivals and had its World Premiere in IFFT, 2016 in Kerala. The Film was selected in the Hanoi International Film Festival, Vietnam, 2016, Imagine India Film Festival Barcelona, 2016 and Imagine India, Madrid, 2017.
He has completed another screenplay for a film titled “Panchforon”, as registered with the Eastern India Motion Picture Association (EIMPA), Which is an association based in Kolkata that stands for numerous stakeholders in the film industry of Eastern India, adding producers, distributors and exhibitors. As a researcher and scriptwriter, he has contributed to many documentary projects that were by the Government of India and work on topics such as Rabhas of NE (North East) India, Bengali literature renowned personalities like Premendra Mitra Born on September 4, 1904, Premendra Mitra was a p >> Read More... and Buddhadev Basu, Padavali Poetry, Chadiya Chadiyani, which is a folk play of Manbhum, that was also sponsored by Ministry of Culture, Govt. Of India and many more documentaries.
He had also scripted a 32-episode serial named “Ek Taan Bahu Gaan” that premiered on Doordarshan Kolkata in 1998. Raja is selected by the Ministry of HRD (Human Resource Department), Govt. Of India as a Producer/Director of Television Documentaries (From 2007). Some of the Documentaries were also produced by CFA for the National Museum, New Delhi in 2005. Like the Churches of the West in the East, the Religious Capital of Bengal, Halishar – The Birthplace of Poet Ramprasad and Sodepur – The Vaishnava Pilgrimage. Raja is also a significant member of an association of Short Film Makers’ Eastern India since Year 2000.
