Manoj Mairta

Manoj Mairta is a screenplay writer and director who works in Hindi films. He was born on July 24, 1982, in a small village Birpur in Bihar, India. He had completed his post-graduation at Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication in Noida. In 2009, after his post graduation , he went to Mumbai to pursue his career as a director. He worked as an assistant director with Reema Mukherjee’s film Ardhangini-ek ardhsatya. He also continued to be an assistant director in films like Gattu in 2011. This film premiered at the 17th International Children’s Festival of India in Hyderabad, India. For a few months, he had worked as the assistant director for the television series Raja ki Aayegi baarat. Before joining as a screenplay writer, he interned for various media houses including popular Hindi news channel Aaj Tak, Dainik CNN and All India Doordarshan in Delhi. He is best known for his screenwriter for the film Mere Pyaare Prime Minister. This movie is a social drama film directed by Rakeysh OmPrakash Mehra which was released in 2019. It was the only Asian film that screened at the Rome Film Festival. Although Manoj Mairta, is a person who hails from a small town in Bihar, India, with no technical knowledge, but he is very passionate about film writing and direction. He possesses a humble personality and has a never give-up attitude.
