Amanjot Kaur Sidhu, born on 10th Januaryand better known by her stage name Dolly Sidhu, is an Indian playback singer. She has sung for movies and albums in various languages and is a popular name in Punjabi Film Fraternity. She was born in
New Delhi, India. She has a younger brother Romi Sidhu and elder sister
Roop Sidhu. She aspired to be a singer from the age of 11. She started learning music when she was a kid. She gave her first performance when she 11 years old. Her first song was Mela with Kuldeep Rasila for which she got nominated for the Best Debut Female Singer Category. She got the spotlight for her song Lodhi Ki Raat from the movie Kaafila, Berukh Ho Geia Pyar Ve and so on. Dolly and her sister Roop Sidhu have collaborated and thus have become the first Sufi siblings of India.
Career Designer Anup Kumar was so impressed by their performance that he immediately signed them to his company, Acme Muzic and gave them a singing platform. He titled the duo as “Sufi Sparrows”. Shah Rukh Khan, Amir Khan and
Abhay Deol and wants to try in Bollywood movies. Dolly completed her high school from Guru Harikrishan Public School, New Delhi. Later she did her graduation from Delhi University. Dolly started her acting career with the Panjabi feature movie Myself Ghaint in 2014 along with Gaurav Kakkar, Maninder Velly and Aditi Govitrikar in the lead roles. It was directed by Akashdeep S Battah and was commercially a success. Another hit song was from the movie “Jatt Airways” with Master Salim. The song starred
