Ronu Majumdar is an Indian flute player in the Hindustani classical music tradition. He has collaborated with
Award for his dedication to music. Sahara India Pariwar presented him with the Lifetime Achievement Award on the occasion of Jyoti Diwas in 2001. In 2014, he won the prestigious Sangeet Natak Akademi Award. Today, Ronu Majumdar is one of the most known musicians using this instrument especially his improvisations are very popular among the younger generation. The music of Pt Majumdar originated from Maihar Gharana, and the area is home to outstanding musicians such as Pt. Ravi Shankar and Ustad Ali Akbar Khan. In addition to holding concerts in different music festivals across India, he also participated in the Indian Music Festival in Moscow and Asiad `82 in New Delhi.
He has toured extensively in Europe, the United States, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East. Majumdar is also known for much collaboration and juggling with other famous instrument players. As an innovative composer, he also composed several works that fused Hindustani classical music with other forms of music, especially Western classical music, including the project "Carrying Hope," The Story of Travelers, Song of Nature ( Magnasound), and Kal Akela Kahan (plus music).

from Singapore. Recently, Ronuji held a concert with 5,378 flute players on Venu Naad, a stage, under the motto "The art of life". This event is recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records. In 1981, Ronu Majumdar won the first prize at the All India Radio Contest and the Presidential Gold Medal.
