Kaustubh Dhavale is a well-known and talented personality from Pune Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, who is highly known by his stage name Koco. He is an outstanding artist highly known for his incredible guitar skills. Koco is a lead guitarist and composer of ‘Agnee’ one of the most popular Indian Rock musical bands. Koco founded this band with his partner Kanan Mohan, who is the lead vocalist of the band. Kanan is from Mumbai, and Koco is from Pune, so they decided to call their band a Pune-based band. Koco was very fond of Guitar at a very young age, and he started to play guitar and learned Deep Purple’s ‘Smoke on the Water’ on a single string. ‘My journey in music began from there’. After completing his graduation, Koco was part of a non-commercial band named TallFa Thins with his tutor, Sheetalchandra Kulkarn, for four years.

Then he leaves and decides to go to Africa to join his cousin’s business, but destiny has other plans, and Koco has to stay here because of the loss that his cousin suffered there; his cousin also has to come back to India. After this, Koco decided to start giving Music classes, and in just one month, there were more than a hundred students who joined him. That was the time when he decided to take Music as his career. The band used to perform all over India. However, the band dissolved in 1995 when the band members met with a tragic accident. After releasing the last Album from the band called ‘Mrityunjaya’ Koco remained inactive in the Music industry.

Then, in 2003, Koco and Kanan met each other at a wedding and did some Jamming time three years later, they both decided to start their band named ‘Agnee’; that’s how they found Agnee. In the first year of its launch, they released their first album named ‘Agnee’ in 2007. After this, they started to work on different projects such as ‘Aahatein’, the band’s most popular song, which got selected as the theme song for MTV Splitsvilla, ‘Hello Andheron’ from the Hindi version of the Hollywood movie Avengers. Their song ‘Aahatein’ also won them the Global Indian Music Academy (GIMA) Award in 2011 for the Best Pop/Rock Single. The band has composed numerous songs for Bollywood movies such as ‘Aalap, the Marathi film Shala, Prakash Jha’s Dil Dosti, and Abbas Tyrewala’s Mango. Some of their other songs, like ‘Shaam Tanha’, ‘Sadho Re’, ‘Keh Lene Do’ and many more. Koco and Kanan are the main members of the band, while the members change over time. Their incredible songs, their dedication and their passion towards music have given them widespread recognition and popularity all across India.
