Srijeeta is an Indian television actress. She has also been a part of Bollywood movies. She made her first appearance with the hit television serial Kasautii Zindagii Kay aired on Star Plus. She is acclaimed for her role in the Colors television show Uttaran as Mukta Vishnu Kashyav. She was born in West Bengal. She had been to St. Xavier's School in West Bengal. She is a graduate in journalism from Ruia College. She always wanted to pursue her career in the field of journalism but during her college days, one of her friends was working for Balaji Telefilms. It was here that her friend advised her to try hands in acting and to come over for auditions. She was selected and made her first debut in the hit Kasautii Zindagii Kay by Ekta Kapoor.

She played the role of Gargi Tushar Bajaj, who was the daughter of lead in the show. She was seen in a television series called Annu Ki Ho Gayi Wah Bhi Wah. She played the lead in the series as a character named Annu, who disguises herself as a boy to fulfill her dreams of cooking and being a chef and her parents are strongly against her desires. She was next seen in Uttaran. She played the role of Mukta Vishnu Kashyav, who was the daughter of Tapasya. She played the role of a spoilt rich girl who falls in love with a person who is in love with her friend. Currently, she is seen in Tum Hi Ho Bandhu Sakha Tumhi, which is on Zee TV. She was a lead in the show opposite Kabeer K. She was also a part of series in which she has played small roles such as CID, Aahat, Savdhan India and many more.

She was seen in movies such as Tashan, Luv Ka The End. The actor is very fond of shopping and also very active and followed on social networking sites.
