Salma Baig is a renowned Indian Actress and an eminent face in the industry. Popularly known as Kumari Naaz or Baby Naaz, she was born in 1944 on August 20 in Mumbai. She has been interested in acting and dancing since childhood and began her career as a Child Artist in 1952 and became a beloved Child Actor in Hindi Cinema. Her father, Mirza Dawood Baig, was a writer, and she got married to SubbiRaj in 1963. She debuted in the Film Industry with Resham in 1952, directed by Lekhraj Bhakri, and Baby Naaz played the role of young Suraiya. 1954 was a turning point in her life when she got to act in the film Boot Polish, produced by Raj Kapoor.

Her outstanding performance and superb acting, made her gain much recognition from The New York Times and a special jury mention at Cannes Film Festival. Her notable contributions to Bollywood include Devdas (1955), Subah Ka Tara (1954), Chandni Chowk (1954), Mast Qalandar (1955), Kundan (1955), Ek hi Rasta (1956), Rajdhani (1956), Musafir (1957), Do Phool (1958), Bhai Behen (1959), Aradhangini (1959), Kagaaz Ke Phool (1959) and more.
