Jaz Masri is an actress from America. The original name of Jaz Masri is Yasmine Al Massri. Jaz is also a dancer by profession. Jaz was born on 21 November, 1978. The birth-place of Jaz is Lebanon while she moved to Paris for studies when she was 20. Jaz Masri is the daughter of a Palestinian man and an Egyptian woman. Jaz got married to Michael Desante. Michael Desante also belongs to Media World. He is a director by profession. Jaz with Michael has a son named Liam Desante (2012).

Jaz with her husband and son lives in Los Angeles, California. Jaz has done her graduation in Multimedia and Live Performances from National School of Fine Arts, Paris (2007). Jaz was interested in the media industry, so after her education, she started her career as a dancer in Souraya Baghdadi Dance Company. Initially, she follows great choreographers, while afterwards she created her own style and directed herself in many videos.In 2007, Jaz debuted in the film industry with a film named ‘Caramel’ (written and directed by Nadine Labaki) which is a comedy-drama movie with an LGBT theme.

Jaz for her first film won Best Actress Award at Abu Dhabi International Film and was nominated for Best Female Performance at Asia Pacific Screen Award in the same year. In 2008, Jaz played a lead role with Hiam Abbass in ‘Pomegranates and Myrrh’, which was directed by Najwa al-Najjar. For her awesome performance in this film, Jaz won Youssef Chahine Best Actress Award at Rabat International Film Festival. In 2014, she debuted with a drama and adventure series‘Crossbones’ in American Television.‘Crossbones’was based on the book ‘The Republic of Pirates’, which was created by Neil Cross, James V.
