Divya Chouksey

This beautiful actress from Bhopal is ruling the Internet with her acting and singing skills. Born on 14th November, she has an elder sister Pallavi Chouksey, who is a lawyer like her father, Mohan Chouksey, and a brother Mayank Chouksey.

She studied at Kendra Vidhyalaya- 1 in Bhopal, and after finishing Schooling, she did her graduation in Mass Communication from Delhi.

Her love for acting made her flew to the UK to do a film making course. And so she did her Masters in Documentaries in Filmmaking from Bedfordshire.

In 2010 she went on to participate in Miss India UK, where she was declared the second runner up. In 2012, the actress took part in I AM SHE, Miss Universe, where she ended up at the top 20. The passion for art made her enroll in Bharat Bhavan.

Divya had a good run in the television industry with the shows like MTV Making the Cut 2, MTV True Life MTV True Life is a popular documentary series that >> Read More... , MTV Bakra, Sony’s CID, Channel V’s It’s Complicated, Star Plus’s Ek Ghar Banunga and Life OK’s Shapath. Divya Chouksey featured in multiple TV campaigns and promos before her debut. The list of commercials includes Nokia, Roopam.

She has also done promos for Indian Premier League’s team Pune Warriors, UTV Bindass, and M tunes. Following her career in TV, the actress entered into the modeling industry and has walked the ramp at various occasions where she graciously owned the stage. In 2014, Divya Choksey shot for designer Umair Zafar’s Chikankari Collection, which became an instant hit on the internet.

Besides, Umair Zafar, the actress has associated with many reputed designers like Satya Paul, Shree Bhairav, Arya Lokhandwala, Sharad Raghav, Sutra, etc.

The actress who has always been intrigued by dance and singing had intensive training in Kathak, Ballroom, Salsa, and merengue. Divya also learned to play Sitar, an Indian classical instrument.

Divya Chouksey essayed the role Sanya Dalwani, an elegant and classy designer, in the film Hai Apna Dil Toh Awara, which hit the screens in 2016. Following the success of her debut movie, the actress starred in the music video Patiyaale Di Queen by Zee Music.

Besides acting in the song, Divya has also penned the lyrics along with composer KS Abhishek Bio coming soon... >> Read More... and lent her voice for the same. The song celebrates women’s empowerment and gives a bold reply to all the male-dominant songs. 

Divya Chouksey had been battling against cancer for nearly one and a half years. She lost the fight to cancer on 12th July 2020. Even before her last breath, the actress had been active on Instagram. She posted that she had been in the death bed and was also strong. After this post, everyone heard the death news of the actress, which is confirmed by her cousin, Amrish Verma.
