Sunny Gill is a Bollywood actor and model. He was born in a Punjabi family in Vancouver, Canada. His family has its roots in Ludhiana, Punjab. After completing his education in Canada, Sunny Gill moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in modelling and acting. Gill’s modelling career took its first flight when he was noticed by fashion designer Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. Later on, Gill went on to do a lot of ramp assignments for the top fashion designers of India. To name a few, Lakme and Wills India Fashion Weeks, GIFA and IIFA are the major events where Gill has been complimented for his good looks and skills. Apart from ramp assignments, Gill has also appeared in several TV commercials and music videos. In 2011, Gill made his debut in the Bollywood movie ‘ Jo Hum Chahein’.

He was roped opposite Miss India Universe 2008 Simran Kaur Mundi in this film. The film failed at the box office, but the critics appraised Gill's performance. Gill was widely complimented by critics for his very good looks and confidence. Consequently, he was placed 7th in the Times Of India’s list of most promising newcomers of 2011. In 2014, Gill starred in a Punjabi romantic comedy movie ‘Mundeyan Ton Bachke Rahin’ along with Roshan Prince, Jassi Gill, Simran Kaur Mundi and Bharti Singh. The film received mixed reviews from critics. In 2012, Gill came to light when his friendship with Simran Mundi added a spice to the news. In an interview with The Times Of India, Gill said, ” Simran Kaur makes me a better person, and I am fond of her.” On the other hand, Simran in another interview stated that they are only good friends. For his friendly nature with girls and his charming looks, Gill has often been titled as ‘Womanizer’ by the media.
