Prashant Narayanan is a renowned Indian actor, born in Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, India. He was raised up in Delhi and studied at Kirori Mal College of Delhi University, where he became a badminton state champion. He also joined Act 1, a theatre group at school. In year 1991, the actor moved to Mumbai with a plan to make his own ad agency. He initiated his career as an assistant art director in films like Rukmavati Ki Haveli, Saudagar and Sardari Begum.
He was also the costume director of the historical drama series, Chanakya on DD National. Later, he started to act in plays again and subsequently received an offer for television shows such as Shagun, Parivartan, Jaane Kaha Mera Jigar Gaya Ji, Farz, Kabhi Kabhie and Gatha. He played as a straight man who later turned as a serial killer who kills call girls. His portrayal in the film received praises by the critics and the Best Villain at the Screen Award and the Best Actor in a Negative Role at the National Award.
