Feroz Bhagat is a veteran actor, playwright and even director of Gujarati dramas (Gujarati Natak). This veteran faced the arc light as a boy of seven. His father was an inspector with the Bombay Regional Council. Though his father was a non-theatrical person, he encouraged him in the theater. He has staged over 87 plays in his career since 1975. Today, he is the most recognized face in Gujarati drama and theatre. He is an icon and prolific theater personality on the Gujarati stage. His most prominent theater shows include 465 shows of Aaje Dhandho Bandh Chhe, 389 shows of Adhura Toye Madhura, 242 shows of Aav Taru Kari Nakhu, 223 shows of Ek Bijane Nadta Rahiye and 200 shows of Pitrudevobhava. This prolific stage actor-cum-director is often busy touring theatres in abroad and at international level too. He has staged successful dramas in London, South Africa, United States and even Dubai where NRI fans are his biggest critics. Occasionally, he completes 40 shows in 40 cities in just two-month. This actor was given his first break in Bomanji Kabraji’s play Bholi Gool. Bomanji Kabraji was a Persian stage play director.
