Ajay Shankar is a striving and an ambitious actor from the Bollywood industry. He has been brought up in Mumbai to Tamil origin parents. Ajay did not have much interest in acting but loved watching Hindi films. He used to play minor roles in school plays, which waked up the passion cat of him. He then did his Master's in Theatre Arts, to be qualified enough for the movie business. But, for Ajay it took many years to realize that to be a professional actor, one does not need any kind of eligibility, but only talent and luck should be right.
There were days when Ajay used to sit by the phone all day so that he would not miss any call regarding auditions or screen tests. He was enrolled for many minor roles in series and commercials. Even in 2017, he was about to be enrolled in a special part for the movie Parattai Enum Azhagusundaram, but he was removed at the last moment. Only on the verge of giving up, did Ajay get a phenomenal role as a scientist from ISRO in the movie Parmanu. Ajay had to strive hard as he had to gain a lot of weight for his small but significant character, Puru Ranganathan.
It did not just get an excellent box-office report, but it made Ajay Shankar from an ordinary man to the most wanted celebrity overnight. His family was on cloud nine, and there were these banana chips, which were termed as Parmanu chips resembling his character in the film. His upcoming flick is named Acche din aane waale hain, which is talks about religion but its main focus is on the 'sadhus' of the society.
