Tupur Chatterjee is one of the granddaughter of legendary filmmaker , who gave us films like Satyakam, Anupama, , Guddi or Abhimaan. Tupur and Tapur are twins born to Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s daughter. Both were models, who had been very popular walking on ramps and even have endorsed several brands. Twins Tapur and Tupur were even once considered to be the upcoming twinkle-twinkle little stars and there was a hope for both of them to work in a movie. The film was announced by J P Dutta, who wanted to introduce the twins to Sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khans’s two sons Ayaan and . But J P Dutta had dumped the two heroines and hence they could not get noticed in any films. However, coming to Tupur Chatterjee, she was a commercial art student and a recipient of the Presidents' Award for poster designing. She has taken up modeling career as a personal choice.
