She completed her schooling from South Point High School in Kolkata. Later she pursued her interest in design at GIFT Design Academy. As a stepping stone in her career of becoming a social media influence, she joined TikTok. Her popularity grew overnight. The main content of her video would be fashion, where she would collaborate on advertisements and models for international brands like Lakme, Urbanic, and many more.
She also used her social media platform to share beauty tips with her fans and followers. After the Government of India banned TikTok, she started uploading videos on Instagram in November 2022. She even started a YouTube channel named after her, Akashlina Chandra. In the year 2022, she was a participant in MTV Splitsvilla X4. In July 2021, Akashlina Chandra founded her own brand of cosmetics. It was named Akashlina Cosmetics. She even mentioned that the launch of her company would have been done earlier if not because of COVID-19. Akashlina’s recognition helped her get invited as a guest speaker at the Blogger’s Mela in 2020.
