Kirthi Rai

Kirthi Rai is a content marketing and creation expert in Bollywood. He currently holds the position of Senior Vice President at Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. where he was part of the pilot team that launched a music label catering to music lovers in 22 languages. Kirthi is responsible for leadership, marketing, and content acquisition. He is a qualified marketing professional with a proven track record and exposure to sales and marketing, aspiring to carve a niche in the media industry.

He completed his post-graduation in Marketing at Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research. During his college years, he was selected from a group of 50 students to represent the college at various forums as part of a marketing initiative taken up by Welingkar. Kirthi undertook a 17-city tour spanning over 3 months to increase brand visibility and reach of brand Welingkar and to create awareness among Tier II city MBA aspirants. 

During his internship, Kirthi delivered presentations and training programs and was identified as a one-point contact to solve queries of future Welingkarites. As a summer trainee, Kirthi undertook several projects under “Strategy & Barter” and initiated the launch of “Desi Grooves,” an annual property of Radio One - A Bollywood dance party in Mumbai. As part of his project, he worked on the activation of their initiative on “Carpooling”.Initially, Kirthi was hired at the post of an Account manager at Network 18 developing various media formats to provide the client with the opportunity to reach their desired target audience.

Later, Kirthi joined Zee Entertainment where he was involved in star attractions, actors, and directors for exclusive showcases on, worked closely with the programming team to ensure smooth execution of the same. He possesses other skills such as Cross-team collaboration, Negotiation, Marketing partnership, and Brand Management- skills. Kirthi always creates properties based on newer and innovative ways to reach out to the audience. The properties involve a host of on-ground events starting from Awards, Trade Fairs, SME conclaves on-air specials, online specials, and panel discussions.
