Rajesh Kamat

Rajesh Kamat is an accomplished managing director & Co-founder at Emerald Media and Chief Operating Officer at CA Media, currently based in Singapore, Asia. As a media executive turned investor, he has equipped himself with a distinct brand of strategic thinking combined with sharp planning and efficient execution in every role he has played. Rajesh began his career working with COCA-COLA, followed by significant contributions at India’s most prominent broadcaster, STAR; launching an India entry strategy for the largest global television production company, ENDEMOL: launching a new GEC (COLORS), and taking it to a leadership position in 9 months. Rajesh is also an active board member in 10 companies and contributes to the angel investor ecosystem.

Rajesh worked as a Marketing Manager (Brands & Media) at Coca-Cola India from 1997-2000, as SVP – Commercial, Business Affairs and International Operations at Star TV Network in 2001 – 2005, Managing director, India at Endemol Shine India in 2006-2007, Group COO & CEO Colours in Viacom 18 in 2008-2011, Group Chief Operating Officer at The Chernin Group in 2011-2015 and Managing Director at Emerald Media Advisors in 2015 till present. Rajesh’s accomplishments include Impact Person of the Year by Impact Magazine in 2009, Outstanding Entrepreneurs of Asia Pacific in 2010 and Economic Times Spencer Stuart India’s ‘Hottest 40 under 40 Business Leaders Economic Times Spencer Stuart India in 2014.
