Sohrab is a fitness trainer, health coach, and businessman based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He is the founder of SOHFIT India, which is an initiative to make people fitter and healthier. Then in March 2008, he became a senior associate at Bharucha & Partners and worked there till 2011.
In May 2011, he started working as a managing associate at Linklaters in Singapore. He returned to Mumbai in 2015 and got engaged with Talwar Thakore & Associates as a managing associate. In August 2016, Sohrab started working as a counselor at Trilegal in Mumbai. Later, he entered the fitness industry and founded SOHFIT India in October 2017, a health and wellness initiative to inspire people to lead a healthy lifestyle. Although Sohrab professionally started working in the fitness sector in 2017, he was always conscious about health and fitness. His journey in the field of athletics started with cricket when he was just nine years old.
He was passionate about cricket, and it was his favorite sport. He also wanted to play for India professionally. However, he had to give up his dream of becoming a cricketer for some reason. He wanted to fulfill his mother’s dream, so he pursued law and became a lawyer. But he never gave up his love and passion for fitness. Even in an extremely hectic and busy life, he managed to spare some time for a quick workout. After spending seventeen years in the law industry, he finally made a daring decision to embark on a journey in fitness.
Therefore, he launched SOHFIT, a popular fitness initiative, in October 2017 with a simple objective in mind i.e., to make fitness interesting.  His unique approach to fitness earned him the title of Vogue’s Fittest Person of the Year in 2019. He has worked as a fitness trainer for various celebrities, such as Kiara Advani She is an Indian film star born on 31st July, 1992 >> Read More... and Alia Bhatt Alia Bhatt is a trendsetting actress from Mumbai, >> Read More... . He even inspired so many Indians during the lockdown. Sohrab believes that fitness should never be about losing weight. It should be the ability to do what one wants to do. He criticizes the obsession people have in India for losing weight. Along with his team, he wishes to change this perception.
The goal of SOHFIT is to make people faster, fitter, and stronger every single day. Moreover, he also believes in the idea of a fitness coach instead of a trainer because a trainer only works an hour a day, but a coach works as a friend and helps to improve the entire lifestyle of people. For Sohrab to be fit doesn’t mean lifting weights or going to the gym. One can be fit by dancing, practicing yoga, or just walking.
Sohrab’s philosophy is to make workout sessions fun and interactive. He points out that fitness is considered a luxury in India, which needs a lot of time. However, Sohrab believes that if the human body moves every day for an hour or two, the body will automatically take care of itself. To him, fitness implies a process that can only yield positive results if people are consistent and patient, which can only happen if they are willing to enjoy the fitness process every day.
That’s why, Sohrab tries to ensure that people have fun while working out. Gradually, people see the positive results and develop a healthy lifestyle to establish the discipline they require for constantly moving their bodies. Besides fitness, Sohrab is highly skilled in Corporate Governance, Competition Law, Foreign Investment, Joint Ventures, Commercial Litigation, Legal Assistance, Legal Research, Intellectual Property, Dispute Resolution Cross-Border Transactions, and Private Equity
