Manoj Badale was born in Dhule, Maharashtra, on December 31, 1967, and brought up in the UK. He is the co-owner of Rajasthan Royals, anĀ Indian Premier League team based in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Manoj is the chairman of the British Asian Trust and co-founder and managing partner of Blenheim Chalcot. Ā He studied economics at Cambridge University's Emmanuel College. Since 1998, he has co-founded over 15 enterprises, most of which are technology-related.Ā His business partner is Charles Mindenhall, who managesĀ Blenheim Chalcot.
Manoj and Charles' initial business endeavor was net decisions group, a prominent internet services provider that has evolved into Agilisys, a broad-based IT services, and outsourcing firm. They co-founded several online start-ups while launching net decisions, including the First Resort (now part of TUI), mad about wine (now part of Fosters), who (now part of match.com), and produxion.com (now part of EMAP).
Manoj is also a co-founder of Fluency, Eviivo, and Steeltrace (now part of Compuware). He co-founded TDX, Clear Start (now part of Fairpoint plc), Grove Capital, and BMS Finance in the financial services industry. Manoj co-founded the Rights Company (now part of Warner Music), and through Emerging Media, has been active in Indian rights. Manoj and Charles recently purchased Home Learning College, the largest online vocational learning company in the country. He is involved in numerous humanitarian endeavors. He also served on the board of the Charity Technology Trust as a founding trustee. Manoj previously worked as a partner at Monitor Company.
