Ananya Tripathi is an Indian women entrepreneur who was born in an Indian army officer’s household. Her family kept shifting frequently due to her father’s job and because of that Ananya had to change her school very frequently. This allowed her to adapt to the surroundings well and encouraged her to pursue a career in Business. Ananya holds an engineering degree from the Army Institute of Technology, Pune. This degree got Ananya her first placement at TCS. She did work at TCS for some time but soon realized that she didn’t want to be a Techie all her life. To break the monotony, she started looking for other career options and ultimately decided to pursue Master of Business Administration degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode.
After her MBA, she got placed with McKinsey where she worked for seven years as Associate Partner and those years made a huge transformation in Ananya’s career. While working at McKinsey, she got an offer from Myntra which she ultimately accepted. Myntra’s business grew rapidly within three-and-a-half years after Ananya joined it as the Chief Strategy Office. She also launched a brand accelerator for Myntra. She was already in charge of Myntra’s 75 percent business, by the time she left the job profile. After Myntra, Tripathi explored new opportunities with KKR Capstone team in India which allowed her to work with likes of Max Healthcare and Vini Cosmetics. After that, for a brief period of time, she worked with Whitehat Jr. She is now working as a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Real Estate Group where her two main motives are to deliver returns promised to investors and identify new growth areas.
