Tenzin Kunchok is an editor who won the National Film Award for Best Editing for the film ‘Mrityobhoj: The Death Feast.’ He is the first Tibetan to receive the award from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, India. He has directed and edited films for the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, BBC Media Action, NACO, Piramal Foundation, Al Jazeera, London. He started his career as an editor with BBC World Service Trust, where he worked for the HIV-AIDS awareness show ‘Haath Se Haath Milaap. He then worked for NDTV before beginning Mogstar Media in 2009.
Tenzin Kunchok was born and raised in McLeod Ganj and studied at Upper TCV Dharamshala. He graduated from the city school of Arts & Commerce in 2003. Tenzin Kunchok has edited the Tibetan film “Girl from China” directed by Sonam Tseten.
