Sushmit Ghosh is a popular Indian director- cinematographer. He is a national award winner. His work has been encouraged by the Sundance Institute, Chicken and Egg Pictures, Tribeca Institute, Doc Society, SFF Film Fund, IDFA, The Bertha Foundation, Finnish Film Foundation, encompassed by others. He is also an associate at Sundance. He likes to make movies that can produce life-changing social reforms. Sushmit also co-launched the Black Ticket Films in 2009. The production company is devoted to the power of fantasy story-telling.
The Black Ticket Films mostly works with the social justice stories, which is why it's an award-winning state. Its impact can be seen on education and used as advocacy. Sushmit’s Writing With Fire is the only Asian film nominated in the Sundance Film Festival 2021. He spent almost five years making the documentary. His other movies include Timbaktu, Dilli, Edible Cutlery, and Flying Inside My Body.
