Rinku Kalsy is an Indian born director born in Mumbai, India and then moved to Holland in the year 2003. Rinku holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics. She was always interested in filmmaking, so she left her well paid job in Hong Kong and went to pursue her dream of studying Filmmaking in the prestigious Binger Institute, Amsterdam. She also studied animation (3D Max and Maya) in Mumbai, India.
Her media career started with working in various studios and agencies like Dungarpur Films, Avital and Applause Entertainment. Rinku is the founder of the company named Anecdote Films. Her latest documentary, For the love of a man, which explores the phenomenal fan-following of South superstar, Rajnikanth. This documentary was premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2015 and also was nominated at Venezia Classici Award under the category of Best documentary on cinema.
