Akash Poikavila

Akash is a director and writer who works in the entertainment industry. He completed his graduation degree in journalism and mass communication from Amity University, Mumbai. Akash also obtains his post-graduation degree in Film, Television, and Media Studies from Deviprasad Goenka Management College of Media Studies. He also worked as an assistant director at Contiloe Entertainment Private Limited, where he directed a television show “Vighnharti Ganesha, as an assistant production manager at Optimystix Entertainment India Private Limited and as an assistant director at Blu Whale StudioZ.

He also worked in various films and television shows, such as “Documenting Love,” which focuses about the stories related to the area of love and the concept of red and green flag in a relationship. It was released on 9 December 2023 and directed by Shivam Jemini, “The Green Hero of India,” which revolves around the story of Dr. RK Nair and Forest Creators in their mission to restore forests with the help of the Miyawaki Technique, fighting deforestation, climate change and promoting a greener future. This film focuses on some sensitive topic and the problems faced by the people from the society as it is considering a taboo subject for them. Akash plays the role of Joseph in this short film. It was released on 8 December 2016 and was directed by Shivam Jemini.
