Sanchita Halder is an Indian Dancer from Wengal. She was born in the village of Guma, near Kolkata, in 2008. Sanchita Halder’s mother had a strong passion for dance but gave up her dream to be a dancer due to marital duties and lack of support. She managed to actualise her dreams by sending her daughter Sanchita to dance classes and allowing her to enrol in all India competitions. Despite her mother’s support, Sanchita Halder is open about her struggle with gaining acceptance from her extended family due to her gender. Sanchita Halder has participated in dance shows and reality series like Dance+ and Hunarbaaz. Sanchita Halder mostly participates with her Dance partner- Subrata, who is from the same village of Guma and Dance Academy.Â
