Born in 1921, Amita Malik was an Indian media critic. She was born in the Guwahati district of Assam, India. She was a well-known Film and Television critic. She worked at All India Radio in Lucknow at a salary of 100 rupees per month. Every Saturday, she presented a weekly lunch-hour program of European music. In 1994, she was posted as a Programme assistant at Delhi All India Radio Station. She started work as a media critic and started many campaigns.
