Due to issues with covid-19, Vir Chopra left for their eternal abode on July 5. The accounts state that Vir visited the Maldives for a holiday while the epidemic was going on, and it was there that he contracted the deadly virus. According to sources, Vir Chopra reportedly arrived back in Mumbai two days after contracting the fatal infection. He was sent right away to H.N. Reliance hospital after landing in Mumbai. After being admitted, he was detained in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and received treatment for 21 days. According to the source, Vir Chopra passed away on July 5 and was cremated the next day.
