Kshitij Kankaria

Kshitij Kankaria is a brand consultant, stylist, costume designer, and creative director based in India. He belonged to a family of doctors. He was raised in Madhya Pradesh. He studied design at NIFT Gandhinagar, an assuming branch of the design school. He attended lectures at the neighboring IIM and the NID resource library. He carved out a niche for himself and began consulting brands in firming up their voices. Later, he started his own creative agency named "SOAK," where he offered end-to-end consulting.

Kshitij Kankaria has a way of reminiscing imagery. His visuals found a voice in independent publications such as i-D Magazine, Ten Magazine, Dazed & Confused, Odda, and Paper Magazine to name a few. He has been instrumental in filling the gap between ideas of India through a Western lens and of Indian creativity. His projects include several brands such as Story MFG, Y Project, Louis Vuitton, Raw Mango, Ayu, Itoh, Ashish, and many more. He has also worked on a few projects in Italy and Paris. As the strategy and communication director, Kshitij Kankaria has worked for a year in the amazing luxury wine company called Katkoot, a personal project.

Kshitij Kankaria’s book “Bandra Sentimental” was purely the vision of Roman Sellier, who wanted him to be a part of it and captured the soul of Bandra. Bandra Sentimental was his first book released in 2019. He has a uniquely identifiable aesthetic that is spotted in some of the most renowned publications in India, America, the UK, and Europe. He also made a successful dive into creative consultancy for brands that include the like of Fila, Louis Vuitton, Adidas, and Alexander Wang.

Over the years, Kshitij Kankaria has done numerous shoots. He actively shared his styling projects, his aesthetic, and his portrayal of Indian culture through magazines like PAPER and Dazed. One of the most adventurous and fond memories, he has from the shoot of Numero in Tokyo. He made his debut at Lakme Fashion Week SR17 as his line of clothes was rebellious and #TagFree.
